Regular Season Round 4: Carrib.Storm - Cafeteros 88-85

The most exciting game of round 4 in the LPB took place in San Andres Island. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Cafeteros (2-2) to fifth ranked Storm (2-1) 88-85 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cafeteros. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Storm made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Cafeteros 51-30 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Dominican Yeison Colome (190-1996) who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. International forward Luis Almanza (196-1991) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Forward Mateo Arboleda (185-1999) replied with 24 points and 5 assists and American Jaelyn Johnson-Coston (198-1993, college: FMU) added 17 points in the effort for Cafeteros. Four Cafeteros players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Storm moved-up to second place, which they share with Bucaros. Cafeteros at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Corsarios.
