Everything went according to plan in Quilpue where second ranked Los Leones (17-6) outleveled 5th ranked Castro (14-9) 105-83 on Saturday. They outrebounded Castro 45-20 including a 31-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Los Leones looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American-Dominican forward Justin Satchell (203-1995, college: St.Leo) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Ignacio Carrion (201-1993) chipped in 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Los Leones players scored in double figures. American power forward DeMarco Owens (203-1996, college: Montevallo) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and Vicente Guaico (-1994) scored 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Los Leones have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 17-6 record having four points less than leader UdeC. Loser Castro dropped to the sixth place with nine games lost. Los Leones will meet at home Ancud (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Castro will play against Puente Alto and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
