Leader Astros delivered the twelfth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 5th ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (8-9) 86-70 in Guadalajara. Astros looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of American center Matt Stainbrook (208-1992, college: Xavier) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds and the other American import Lagerald Vick (196-1997, college: Kansas) who added 19 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Astros players scored in double figures. Cuban center Marvin Cairo (203-1991) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Josh Webster (190-1997, college: Missouri St.) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Astros have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-5 record. Tijuana Zonkeys at the other side keep the fifth place with nine games lost. Astros will again meet at home Tijuana Zonkeys (#5) in the next round. Tijuana Zonkeys will have a break next round.
