Libertadores defeated Abejas in Queretaro 63-53. They outrebounded Abejas 44-32 including a 36-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. American power forward Lyndra Littles Weaver (185-1987, college: Virginia) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points and 6 rebounds. The other American import swingman Robyn Parks (185-1992, college: VCU) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Argentinian guard Candela Foresto (163-1999) replied with 20 points and American guard Jaterra Bonds (170-1992, college: Florida) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Abejas. Abejas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Abejas will play next round against strong Astros trying to get back on the winning streak. Libertadores will try to continue on its current victory against Panteras in Aguascalientes.
