Very expected game when 10th ranked Universidad Catolica (7-15) lost to fifth ranked Deportivo Valdivia (15-8) in Santiago 71-77 on Sunday. Deportivo Valdivia made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was a good game for Panamanian-Mexican Gabriel Giron (192-1988) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Argentinian point guard Enzo Amado (183-1995) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Deportivo Valdivia players scored in double figures. Argentinian power forward Cristian Amicucci (200-1985) answered with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 15 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and forward Deiker Salcedo (181-2002) added 10 points in the effort for Universidad Catolica.
