Regular Season Round 6: Carrib.Storm - Tigrillos 81-72
Date: May 2, 2022
Bottom-ranked Tigrillos (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 81-72 loss to fourth ranked Storm (3-2) in San Andres Island. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. It was a good game for Dominican Yeison Colome (190-1996) who led his team to a victory with 26 points and 5 assists. International forward Luis Almanza (196-1991) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Storm players scored in double figures. Forward Andres Carmona (195-1997) replied with 14 points and 6 assists and the former international power forward Santiago Serna (203-2001) added 8 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Tigrillos. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Storm moved-up to second place, which they share with Cafeteros and Bucaros. Tigrillos at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Storm will play against Team Cali (#5) at home in the next round. Tigrillos will play against Bucaros and hope to get finally their first victory.
