There was no surprise in Valparaiso where Brisas were outplayed by Sportiva Italiana 93-58 on Sunday. Sportiva Italiana outrebounded Brisas 46-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Brisas' players. Alvaro Mesina (-2003) fired 21 points for the winners. The former international center Javier Barra (211-1997) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Sportiva Italiana players scored in double figures. Cristhian Poleo (-1992) produced 18 points and 7 rebounds and Rodolfo Ordonez (-1987) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sportiva Italiana will meet Manquehue in the next round. Brisas will play against Luis Matte and hope to win that game.
