We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in San Andres Island where 5th ranked Storm (3-5) was crushed by sixth ranked Corsarios (4-5) 113-79 on Wednesday. Corsarios dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Storm's 42. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Center Jhon Hernandez (208-1984) stepped up and scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners and Venezuelan Nelson Palacios (192-1992) chipped in 21 points. Five Corsarios players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Patrick McGlynn (188-1992, college: URI) with 19 points and 7 assists and Venezuelan swingman Kevin Nino (195-1991) scored 15 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Corsarios moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Team Cali. Storm lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with five games lost.
