Regular Season Round 5: Abejas - Fuerza Regia 74-78

An interesting game for Fuerza Regia (4-2) which played road game in Leon against 4th placed Abejas (0-8). Second ranked Fuerza Regia managed to get a 4-point victory 78-74. American players dominated the game. Center Khaalia Hillsman (197-1996, college: Texas A&M) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 20 rebounds. Guard Destiny Pitts (178, college: Texas A&M, agency: Green Sports Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. Center Rodjanae Wade (188-1998, college: UNLV) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 20 rebounds and guard Jaterra Bonds (170-1992, college: Florida) added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Abejas. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Fuerza Regia have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 4-2 record having just two points less than leader Panteras, which they share with Libertadores. Abejas at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Fuerza Regia is looking forward to face Plateras (#3) in Fresnillo in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Abejas will have a break next round.
