Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (13-11) defeated at home bottom-ranked Caballeros de Culiacan (5-19) 105-92 on Wednesday. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Caballeros de Culiacan's 40 and made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Caballeros de Culiacan 36-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by forward Tony Farmer (201-1994, college: Lee JC) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and forward Germain Jordan (198-1986, college: Dillard) supported him with 20 points and 4 assists.
