Regular Season Round 12: Team Cali - Cafeteros 72-69

The most exciting game of round 12 in the LPB took place in Cali. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Cafeteros (7-5) to fifth ranked Team Cali (5-7) 72-69 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cafeteros. Team Cali forced 19 Cafeteros turnovers. The best player for the winners was point guard Jorge Salazar (178-1993) who scored 19 points. Guard Hayner Montano (190-1997) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Team Cali players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Alvaro Pena (197-1995, agency: BIG) who recorded 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Gerald Williams (190-1991, college: La Sierra) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Team Cali moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Corsarios. Cafeteros at the other side keep the third position with five games lost.
