An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Monterrey. Second ranked Fuerza Regia faced 4th placed Plateras. Host Fuerza Regia (7-2) smashed guests from Fresnillo (1-8) 84-63. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Destiny Pitts (178, college: Texas A&M, agency: Green Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Khaalia Hillsman (197-1996, college: Texas A&M) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. Forward Kamilah Jackson (183-1992, college: Hawaii) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and center Shakeya Leary (189-1990, college: Syracuse) added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Plateras. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fuerza Regia have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 7-2 record having just one point less than leader Adelitas. Plateras lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with eight games lost. Fuerza Regia will play against Halcones (#3) in Xalapa in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Plateras will play on the road against the league's leader Adelitas in Chihuahua to get more than just one victory in their record.
