LMBPF top team - Mieleras (22-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Las Plebes (5-15) 96-63. Mieleras dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Las Plebes' 38. They outrebounded Las Plebes 30-16 including 21 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American forward Destiny Campbell (185, college: ECU) who scored that evening 31 points and 8 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) and Nigerian forward Ijeoma Uchendu (185-1992, college: Butler) supported her with 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Even 37 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds by American swingman Jessica Fairweather (178-1989, college: Queens, NY) did not help to save the game for Las Plebes. Her fellow American import forward Danielle Forrest-Higgins (178, college: Morgan St.) added 7 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mieleras have an impressive 22-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 22-0 record. Las Plebes lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Lenadoras and Algodoneras.
