An interesting game for Astros (20-10) which hosted in Guadalajara 3rd placed Rayos de Hermosillo (18-12). First ranked Astros managed to get a 7-point victory 114-107. Astros looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American players dominated also this game. It was an exceptional evening for forward Jordan Loveridge (198-1993, college: Utah) who led the winners and scored 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Javion Blake (190, college: Washburn, agency: Haylett Sports) accounted for 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Jordan Brangers (188-1995, college: South Plains) came up with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and Jeremy Hollowell (203-1994, college: Georgia St., agency: Network Sports International) added 21 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Rayos de Hermosillo in the defeat. Five Astros and four Rayos de Hermosillo players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Astros maintains first place with 20-10 record. Defending champion Rayos de Hermosillo keeps the third position with 12 games lost. Astros will meet Venados (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Rayos de Hermosillo will play against Tijuana Zonkeys (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
