Regular Season Round 4: Ceb Puerto Montt - Frontera 64-63

The most exciting game of round 4 in the LNF took place in Puerto Montt. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 3rd ranked Frontera (2-2) to top-ranked Ceb Puerto Montt (4-0) 64-63 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Frontera. Ceb Puerto Montt forced 25 Frontera turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Pia Soto (170-1995) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 4 assists and center Catalina Azocar (-1997) who added 11 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Ceb Puerto Montt's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side the former international forward Daniela Troncoso (178-1987) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Cosntanza Cardenas (185-1998) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Four Frontera players scored in double figures. Ceb Puerto Montt have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Alemana P. Frontera at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Leones. Ceb Puerto Montt is looking forward to face league's leader Alemana P. in Paillaco in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Frontera will play at home against Univ. Austral and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
