Not a big story in a game in Mercedes where bottom-ranked Urunday (0-5) was rolled over by seventh ranked Remeros (3-2) 101-37 on Saturday. Remeros dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Urunday's 20. Remeros forced 29 Urunday turnovers and outrebounded them 44-20 including a 35-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Urunday's players. The best player for the winners was forward Pia Moyano (170-1995) who scored 25 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Argentinian center Ornela Bacchini (188-1989, college: OLLU) chipped in 14 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Remeros players scored in double figures. Forward Antonella Ormando (-2000) produced 5 points and 7 rebounds and forward Sabrina Molina (-2001) added 12 points respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Remeros have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Hebraica and Lagomar. Loser Urunday still closes the standings with five games lost. They share the position with Juventud. Remeros will meet Hebraica (#5) in the next round. Urunday will play against Paysandu (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
