LMBPF top team - Mieleras (24-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Escaramuzas (12-10) in Guanajuato 94-54. Mieleras dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Escaramuzas' 28. Mieleras forced 28 Escaramuzas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Escaramuzas' players. The best player for the winners was American forward Destiny Campbell (185, college: ECU) who scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Nigerian forward Ijeoma Uchendu (185-1992, college: Butler) chipped in 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Mieleras players scored in double figures. Point guard Italivy Ramos (161) produced 10 points and Trinidad and Tobago forward Chervelle Cox (186-1992, college: Central St.) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mieleras have an impressive 24-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 24-0 record. Escaramuzas lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Atleticas.
