Regular Season Round 10: Fuerza Regia - Abejas 100-79

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Monterrey. Second ranked Fuerza Regia faced 4th ranked Abejas. Host Fuerza Regia (8-3) smashed guests from Leon (0-11) 100-79. Fuerza Regia players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Destiny Pitts (178, college: Texas A&M, agency: Green Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 rebounds. Center Khaalia Hillsman (197-1996, college: Texas A&M) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Fuerza Regia's coach Juan Jose Pidal felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Rodjanae Wade (188-1998, college: UNLV) replied with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds and guard Jaterra Bonds (170-1992, college: Florida) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for Abejas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fuerza Regia maintains second position with 8-3 record having just three points less than leader Astros. Abejas at the other side still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Fuerza Regia will play against league's leader Adelitas in Chihuahua in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Abejas will have a break next round.
