Regular Season Round 27: Regias - Teporacas 93-49

An interesting game for Regias (22-1) which hosted in Santiago 4th placed Teporacas (16-7). Second ranked Regias had an easy win 93-49. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Teporacas. Regias dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Teporacas' 24 and made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Regias forced 33 Teporacas turnovers. It was a great evening for Cuban Yamara Amargo (179-1985) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Ashton Millender (173, college: DePaul) helped adding 17 points. Four Regias players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international center Jazmin Valenzuela (187-1989) with 8 points and 13 rebounds and Colombian forward Mabel Martinez (180-1986) scored 11 points. Teporacas' coach Angel Gonzalez gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Regias have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain second place with 22-1 record having just three points less than leader Phoenix. Teporacas at the other side keep the fourth position with seven games lost. Regias will again play against Teporacas (#4) in the next round. Teporacas will have a break next round.
