Regular Season Round 5: Municipal C. - Liceo PN 55-104

Very predictable result when second ranked Liceo PN (5-1) smashed on the road bottom-ranked Municipal C. (0-3) 104-55 on Saturday. Liceo PN dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Municipal C.'s 12 and made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Liceo PN forced 19 Municipal C. turnovers and outrebounded them 50-31 including a 41-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Liceo PN looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Municipal C.'s players. The best player for the winners was guard Matias Sepulveda (-1995) who scored 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Felipe Acuna (182-92) chipped in 22 points and 9 rebounds. Four Liceo PN players scored in double figures. Brazilian Vinicius Ruiz (-1998) produced 9 points and 5 rebounds and forward Diego Fuentes (-1993) added 11 points respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Liceo PN maintains second place with 5-1 record having just one point less than leader Manquehue. Municipal C. lost their third game in a row. They still close the standings with three games lost. Liceo PN will meet at home Tomas L. (#13) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Municipal C. will play against Espanol O. and hopes to get finally their first victory.
