Regular Season Round 2: Saracho - San Simon 70-94

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Saracho at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were rolled over by San Simon 94-70. San Simon outrebounded Saracho 51-34 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Argentinian power forward Gianfranco Sinconi (204-1994) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Akil McClain (188-1997, college: IU Kokomo) chipped in 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. McClain is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four San Simon players scored in double figures. San Simon's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Argentinian forward Facundo Sanz (197-1996, agency: BIG) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Mauricio Fernandez added 21 points respectively for the hosts. San Simon is looking forward to face UNITEP in the next round where they are favorite. Saracho will play against Tenis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
