We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Santiago where 4th ranked Brisas (3-6) were defeated by top-ranked UDC (3-0) 70-55 on Saturday. UDC forced 23 Brisas turnovers and had a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international point guard Javiera Novion (170-1987, college: Eckerd) scored 21 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Javiera Campos (-2002) chipped in 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. UDC's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Javiera Morales (178-1992) with 21 points and 8 rebounds and center Valentina Olmedo (190-2003) scored 5 points and 13 rebounds. UDC have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Univ.Concepcion. Loser Brisas dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
