No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Arabe de Valp. (5-3) beat 12th ranked Luis Matte (4-5) in Valparaiso 61-51 on Saturday. Arabe de Valp. forced 19 Luis Matte turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Brazilian Pedro Soares (200-1991) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds. Center Carlos Ahuile (193-1999) accounted for 6 points and 17 rebounds for the winning side. Ronald Reyes (-1999) came up with 15 points and 7 rebounds and Venezuelan Luis Adrian (-1998) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Luis Matte in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Arabe de Valp. maintains fifth place with 5-3 record, which they share with Osorno.
