Regular Season Round 7: Boston C. - UDC 61-93

Date: June 18, 2022
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Boston C. (6-4) against leader UDC (5-0) on Saturday night. Host Boston C. was crushed by UDC in Santiago 93-61. They outrebounded Boston C. 48-31 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Sofia Jara (-1996) who led the winners and scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Antonia Andaur (-2002) accounted for 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Four UDC players scored in double figures. Forward Gabriela Ahumada (180-2004) came up with 7 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Romina Valenzuela (178-1986) added 10 points and 4 blocks respectively for Boston C. in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. UDC have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 5-0 record. Loser Boston C. still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with Conce. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
