Bottom-ranked Juventud (0-8) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their eighth consecutive match to fourth ranked 25 de Agosto (6-2) 89-35 on Saturday evening. 25 de Agosto held Juventud to an opponent 22.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.7 percent accuracy of the winners. 25 de Agosto forced 36 Juventud turnovers and outrebounded them 47-34 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. 25 de Agosto looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Juventud's players. The best player for the winners was Sabrina Molina (179-1998) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Point guard Catalina Quintana (162-2000) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Cynthia Diaz (158-1994) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Karina Acosta (-1986) added 9 points, 5 assists and 10 steals respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. 25 de Agosto moved-up to second place, which they share with Malvin and D.Sporting. Newly promoted Juventud still closes the standings with eight games lost. 25 de Agosto's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Lagomar.
