Regular Season Round 7: Stadio Italiano - Sergio Ceppi 76-82

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Stadio Italiano (0-8) lost to ninth ranked Sergio Ceppi (4-3) in Santiago 76-82 on Saturday. Sergio Ceppi forced 19 Stadio Italiano turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Fabian Aguilera (-1995) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Elias Donoso (-1986) accounted for 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Five Sergio Ceppi players scored in double figures. Cristian Urrutia (-1999) came up with 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and swingman Francisco Pena (187-1989) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Stadio Italiano in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Sergio Ceppi moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Boston College. Stadio Italiano lost their eighth game in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost. Sergio Ceppi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santiago Brisas.
