The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Malvin (#4) and Yale (#7). Malvin (7-3) smashed visiting Yale (5-5) by 23 points 82-59. Malvin dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Yale's 22. They outrebounded Yale 40-29 including 25 on the defensive glass. Malvin looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Power forward Emilia Borges (184-2002) fired 29 points and 4 assists for the winners. Colombian-Argentinian center Malvina DAgostino (184-2001) chipped in 9 points and 17 rebounds. Malvin's coach Juan Serdio felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Argentinian guard Laila Raviolo (180-2000) produced 19 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Mariangel Santana (160-2003) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Malvin moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Yale at the other side keeps the seventh position with five games lost.
