There was no surprise in Santiago where 10th ranked Boston College (4-5) was defeated by seventh ranked Sergio Ceppi (6-3) 72-68 on Saturday. Sergio Ceppi made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The former international Julius Holt (187-1985) stepped up and scored 30 points for the winners and Boris Guerra (-1987) chipped in 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was forward Rodrigo Rojas (-1997) with 18 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Marcelo Lopez (191-1991) scored 19 points. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sergio Ceppi. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Truenos. Loser Boston College keeps the tenth position with five games lost. They share it with Liceo Curico. Sergio Ceppi will meet at home league's leader Sportiva Italiana in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
