Regular Season Round 9: Municipal C. - Liceo Curico 55-67

Bottom-ranked Municipal C. (0-9) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 67-55 loss to twelfth ranked Liceo Curico (4-5) in . Liceo Curico had a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for center Sergio Chialva (-1994) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 19 rebounds. Cuban guard Angel Ibanez (190-1990) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Forward Diego Fuentes (-1993) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Brazilian Vinicius Ruiz (-1998) added 7 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Municipal C.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Liceo Curico moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Boston College. Municipal C. lost their ninth game in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost. Liceo Curico will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Municipal C. will play on the road against Tomas L. (#13) in San Fernando and hopes to get finally their first victory.
