Regular Season Round 10: Manquehue - Arabe de Valp. 75-58

There was no surprise in Santiago where 8th ranked Arabe de Valp. (5-6) was defeated by fourth ranked Manquehue (7-4) 75-58 on Sunday. Manquehue looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Arabe de Valp.'s players. Forward Juan Peters (-1993) had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Fernando Schuler (190-1991) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side center Carlos Ahuile (193-1999) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds and Brazilian Pedro Soares (200-1991) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Manquehue went down to fifth position due to points difference. Arabe de Valp. lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with six games lost. Manquehue's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santiago Stadio Italiano.
