An interesting game for Caballeros (0-0) which hosted in Tulcan 4th placed Fuerza M. (2-3). Leader Caballeros had an easy win 94-66. Caballeros dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Fuerza M.'s 34. American Kelly Hinds (-1995) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Mason Harrell (203-1997, college: WSSU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 19 rebounds for the winners. Four Caballeros players scored in double figures. Juan Rojas (-1989) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and center Kennig Rivera (-2000) added 8 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Fuerza M.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Caballeros maintains th place with 0-0 record. Fuerza M. lost third consecutive game. Fuerza M. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Caballeros are looking forward to face Nesfebanor (#7) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Fuerza M. will play against the league's second-placed Punto Rojo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
