Abejas recorded a loss in Guanajuato on Friday night. Hosts were rolled over by Soles 87-64. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Abejas' 28. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Dwayne Morgan (202-1996, college: SUU) fired 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Donovan Jackson (188-1996, college: Iowa St.) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Tre McLean (197-1993, college: Chattanooga) produced 14 points and 6 rebounds and Marvin Clark (201-1994, college: St.John's, agency: Slash Sports) added 7 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Soles is looking forward to face Plateros in Fresnillo in the next round. Abejas will play at home against Libertadores and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
