Regular Season Round 13: Luis Matte - Sergio Ceppi 63-65

Thirteenth-ranked Luis Matte (4-9) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Sergio Ceppi (9-3) on Saturday. The visitors from Santiago managed to secure only two-point victory 65-63. However their fans expected much easier game. Sergio Ceppi looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Camilo Figueroa (-1995) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Forward Gabriel Gonzalez (-2001) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Pedro Lopez (-1996) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and Ronald Reyes (-1999) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Sergio Ceppi have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 9-3 record. Luis Matte lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with nine games lost. They share it with Stadio Italiano. Sergio Ceppi are looking forward to face Arabe de Valp. (#9) in Valparaiso in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Luis Matte will play on the road against Manquehue in Santiago and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
