Very expected game in Santiago where 12th ranked Stadio Italiano (4-9) was defeated by eighth ranked Boston College (7-5) 77-65 on Saturday. Boston College outrebounded Stadio Italiano 44-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. Argentinian swingman Manuel Lambrisca (192-1997) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and forward Rodrigo Rojas (-1997) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side Venezuelan point guard Joseph Campos (175-1996, college: West LA) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Francisco Pena (187-1989) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Stadio Italiano players scored in double figures. Stadio Italiano's coach Galo Lara rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Boston College. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Manquehue. Stadio Italiano at the other side keeps the twelfth position with nine games lost. They share it with Luis Matte.
