Regular Season Round 1: Astros - Correcaminos 106-72

Everything went according to plan in Guadalajara where Astros outleveled Correcaminos 106-72 on Saturday. They outrebounded Correcaminos 43-22 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Astros shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Correcaminos' players. American guard Rayes Gallegos (188-1990, college: Nebraska) stepped up and scored 30 points and 4 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Jordan Loveridge (198-1993, college: Utah) chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Astros players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Tony Farmer (201-1994, college: Lee JC) responded with 21 points and Colombian Michaell Jackson (190-1987) scored 13 points and 4 steals. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Astros will meet Dorados in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Correcaminos will play against Mineros in Zacatecas and hope to win that game.
