No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Boston College (9-5) crushed on the road 13th ranked Luis Matte (4-11) 77-43 on Sunday. Boston College dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Luis Matte's 30. Boston College forced 26 Luis Matte turnovers and outrebounded them 40-29 including 18 on the offensive glass. Forward Rodrigo Rojas (-1997) notched 18 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Argentinian swingman Manuel Lambrisca (192-1997) supported him with 19 points. Even 10 points and 5 rebounds by Venezuelan Jorge Velasco (-1993) did not help to save the game for Luis Matte. Pedro Lopez (-1996) added 9 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Boston College have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Manquehue. Luis Matte lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 11 games lost.
