Rather predictable result in Tarija where third ranked San Simon (9-4) defeated 6th ranked La Salle (6-5) 77-73 on Sunday. They outrebounded La Salle 45-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Akil McClain (188-1997, college: IU Kokomo) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Argentinian power forward Gianfranco Sinconi (204-1994) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds. McClain is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.
