Regular Season Round 14: Truenos - Liceo PN 63-101

The game in Talca supposed to be quite interesting. Second ranked Liceo PN (12-2) played at the court of 6th ranked Truenos (8-5). Liceo PN smashed Truenos 101-63 on Sunday. Liceo PN dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Truenos' 32. They outrebounded Truenos 48-34 including a 41-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Liceo PN looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Truenos' players. Argentinian power forward Cristian Amicucci (200-1985) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 19 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Matias Sepulveda (-1995) contributed with 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Liceo PN players scored in double figures. Forward Nick Morales (187-1985) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and Alessandro Morales (-1998) added 16 points in the effort for Truenos. Truenos' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Liceo PN have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Truenos at the other side dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. Liceo PN are looking forward to face Liceo Curico (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Truenos will play against Osorno and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
