No shocking result in a game in Caracas where leader Trotamundos (7-0) defeated 3rd placed Brillantes (3-4) 79-75 on Tuesday. Trotamundos looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for international center Nestor Colmenares (200-1987, college: Campbellsville, agency: Pro Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Dwayne Davis (196-1989, college: Southern Miss) helped adding 18 points and 4 assists. Four Trotamundos players scored in double figures. American guard Hameed Ali (188-1993, college: TAMUCC) responded with 19 points and 5 assists and the former international power forward Fernando Fuenmayor (201-2000) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Trotamundos have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-0 record. Brillantes lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
