The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Brasilia (0-1) at the home court. Hosts were rolled over by Praia (2-0) 97-55. Praia dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Brasilia's 28. Praia forced 19 Brasilia turnovers and outrebounded them 52-27 including a 35-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Gabriel Cunha (188-2000) nailed 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and forward Gui Serrano (202-2001) accounted for 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four Praia players scored in double figures. Allan Brito (-2003) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds and forward Carlos Silva (196-2003) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Brasilia in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Praia keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Pinheiros. Brasilia at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. Praia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Brasilia will play on the road against Minas (#6) in Belo Horizonte and hopes to get finally their first victory.
