Everything could happen in Montevideo at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Sayago and 14th ranked Verdirrojo had identical 2-9 record. But Verdirrojo was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Sayago 81-66 on Monday night. The best player for the winners was forward Joaquin Jones (199-1997) who scored 25 points. Point guard German Silvarrey (176-1987) chipped in 17 points and 6 assists. Four Sayago players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Manuel Monteverde (194-1995) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds and guard Damian Andres Blazina (186-1988) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Sayago (3-9) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Miramar and San Telmo RS. Verdirrojo lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. They share it with Stockolmo. Sayago will meet at home higher ranked Larranaga (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Verdirrojo's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Miramar.
