Yale smashed Urunday in Montevideo 109-42. Yale made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game, while Urunday only scored 0 point from the stripe. Yale forced 26 Urunday turnovers and outrebounded them 42-24 including a 29-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 3 passes made by Urunday's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian guard Laila Raviolo (180-2000) who helped to win the game recording 43 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 8 assists (made all of her eight free throws). Guard Sofia Podesta (161-2003) contributed with 15 points, 7 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Four Yale players scored in double figures. Mariana Garcia (-2005) answered with 8 points and forward Sabrina Molina (-2001) added 6 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Urunday. Urunday's coach Mauricio Gonzalez gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Urunday will play next round against strong Juventud trying to get back on the winning streak. Yale will try to continue on its current victory against Montevideo. It will be extra interesting game as Montevideo is their local rival from Montevideo.
