Regular Season Round 4: Mineros - Dorados 61-86

There was no surprise in Zacatecas where 3rd ranked Mineros (4-3) were outplayed by first ranked Dorados (6-1) 86-61 on Saturday. Dorados had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Argentinian point guard Juan Brussino (185-1991) fired 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American Donald Sims (190-1987, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 17 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Dorados players scored in double figures. American swingman Jordan Williams (198-1992, college: N.Texas) produced 12 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and naturalized American Durrell Summers (196-1989, college: Michigan St.) added 12 points and 4 assists (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dorados maintains first position with 6-1 record. Loser Mineros keep the third place with three games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Dorados will meet at home league's second-placed Fuerza Regia in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mineros will have a break next round.
