The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Trotamundos (12-2) in Margarita on Monday night. Visitors were defeated by Centauros (11-4) 93-88. It ended at the same time the 12-game winning streak of Trotamundos. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Centauros shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian swingman Martin Fernandez (195-1997) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Douglas Rondon (175-1995) contributed with 17 points and 5 assists for the winners. Centauros' coach Alexis Cedres used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The former international point guard David Cubillan (181-1987, college: Marquette) replied with 19 points and 4 assists and international center Nestor Colmenares (200-1987, college: Campbellsville, agency: Pro Sports) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Trotamundos. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Centauros have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-4 record which they share with defeated Trotamundos. Defending champion Trotamundos still keep top place with two games lost.
