The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Caracas: Brillantes (#2) and Heroes (#3). Brillantes (11-7) won against visiting Heroes (7-7) 104-100. Brillantes forced 19 Heroes turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 28 personal fouls committed by Heroes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American power forward Charles Thomas (202-1986, college: Arkansas) who scored 25 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. American-Peruvian guard Kyle Fuller (184-1992, college: Vanderbilt) chipped in 31 points and 5 assists. Brillantes' coach Gustavo Garcia used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game.
