Regular Season Round 26: Centauros - Toros 75-69

There was no surprise in Margarita where 5th ranked Toros (2-14) were defeated by first ranked Centauros (13-4) 75-69 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Spanish-Dominican power forward Jhonatan Araujo (206-1996) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 22 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Dominican Kelvin Pena (193-1980, college: Southeastern) chipped in 16 points during the contest. Jamaican-American forward Staphon Blair (206-1993, college: UCF, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and forward Daniel Macuare (190-1984) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Centauros have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-4 record. Toros lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 14 games lost. Centauros will meet at home Piratas (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Toros will have a break next round.
