There was a surprise result in Fortaleza where ninth ranked Cearense (3-3) defeated higher ranked Caxias do Sul (3-3) 60-56 on Wednesday. Cearense forced 23 Caxias do Sul turnovers. Leonardo Cravero (200-2002) stepped up and scored 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Paraguayan point guard Fabrizzio Rojas (187-2002) chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Cearense's coach Dannyel Russo used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Jamison Costa (199-2000) with 15 points and 8 rebounds and guard Elias Oliveira (189-2001) scored 6 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Cearense moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Caxias do Sul.
