Regular Season Round 28: Centauros - Broncos 81-63

An interesting game for Centauros (15-4) which hosted in Margarita their biggest opponent Broncos (12-8). First ranked Centauros had an easy win 81-63. Centauros dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Broncos' 20 and made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. The winners were led by Spanish-Dominican power forward Jhonatan Araujo (206-1996) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and American Dominique Morrison (198-1989, college: ORU, agency: Haylett Sports) supported him with 17 points. Five Centauros players scored in double figures. Even 20 points by American Musa Abdul-Aleem (196-1988, college: Troy) did not help to save the game for Broncos. Point guard Raymond Roca (192-2000) added 7 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Centauros have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-4 record. Loser Broncos keep the second place with eight games lost. Centauros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Broncos' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Caracas Heroes.
