Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Caracas: Broncos (#2) and Heroes (#4). Broncos (13-8) won against visiting Heroes (8-9) 81-72. They outrebounded Heroes 46-26 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American Musa Abdul-Aleem (196-1988, college: Troy) who scored 20 points. Point guard Raymond Roca (192-2000) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Broncos' coach Manuel Berroteran used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American point guard Keron DeShields (190-1992, college: Tennessee St., agency: BIG) produced 16 points and 9 assists and swingman Kevin Nino (195-1991) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Four Heroes players scored in double figures. Broncos maintains second place with 13-8 record having just five point less than leader Centauros.
