The most exciting game of round 5 in the Metropolitan took place in Montevideo. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of bottom-ranked Larranaga (0-4) to sixth ranked 25 de Agosto (2-3) 73-72 on Tuesday evening. American forward Dennis McKinney (193-1998, college: Mt.Mercy, agency: GoEmpire Group) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Diego Tortajada (202-1993) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four 25 de Agosto players scored in double figures. Center Theo Metzger (200-1999) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 21 rebounds and point guard Maximiliano Nobile (181-1997) added 12 points, 6 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Larranaga. 25 de Agosto moved-up to fifth place, which they share with U.Atletica and Lagomar. Larranaga at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. 25 de Agosto's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Cordon.
